Avoid excessive tanning, outside and on sun-baths

Do not steam the skin frequently

Avoid using products not designed for your skin-type

Use non-waterproof products which are less likely to clog the pores

Do not over cleanse

Use warm water, not hot, for cleansing the face

Do not have a professional facial before a close-up shoot because the skin will need 2-3 days to heal,      depending on skin-type

Avoid waxing any facial hair on the day of a close-up as it can cause skin irritation

Use a suitable eye cream every night, but do not apply over the lid as it may cause puffiness

Use a non irritant laundry soaps and fabric softners

Use gentle shampoos which won’t irritate the face during rinsing

Drink lots of water, preferably bottled and unchlorinated

Eat a balanced diet

Avoid alcohol, tobacco, caffeine, sugar , salt and non-prescribed drugs

Get plenty of sleep, especially before close-ups to ensure you look fresh and bright
